What is DOAP ?

About the logo

Are you a communist ?

No, I'm not.  At least, not any more than your average hacker giving software away for free to share with other people.

So why the logo ?
-----------------

The `hammer and sickle <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammer_and_sickle>`_ in communist flags represent the union between the agricultural and industrial labour force.  MOAP hopes to represent
a similar union between project maintainers and project distributors.

Also, in communist Russia, moap maintains me.
