restore to current workspace ?

After being confused for the umpteenth time that, when I clicked on some minimized application that wasn't on my current workspace, it would just start blinking in bold, without actually showing the window I expected to see, I twiddled the task applet settings a little.

'Restore to original workspace' seems to work fine. Any GNOMErs actually using 'Restore to current workspace' correctly ? I don't remember when this started happening, I seem to recall it happening on F9 just as well. I'm currently on F11 with 2.26

Let's see if Bugzilla turns anything up...

  1. Hi,
    take a look at http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/DockbarX?content=101604
It’s an icon-based application launcher + application and window list panel applet.
For open windows, you can click the app icon to cycle them or a single window to either bring you to it or it to you. minimized windows will first be unminimized, etc.
It’s written in python and is very configurable.

  2. I had a session on Ubuntu Karmic that did that. I think I solved it with a reboot. Hasn’t done it since.

  3. Yes! Me find the bugzilla entry I was annoyed when it went, it’s the only way that makes sence

  4. I’d say this was a side-effect of fixing https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482354 (yep, I hate what you describe too)
