Tell me this.  How do I tell mugshot to stop telling me what I am doing myself ? There's nothing more annoying than having that stupid notification popup in the way telling me what song I am listening to (which I already know anyway) for umpteen seconds.  I want to tell my computer to do stuff, not have my computer tell me what it's doing.

  1. Left-click the Mugshot icon on the notification area, click on ‘Filter’ and check ‘Hide my items’. Does the job :)

  2. At the top of the stacker click Filter -> Hide My Items

Or click Hush on your music block to shut that one up specifically.

  3. At the top of the “Mugshot Stacker” window click on the “Filter” expander. You should then see a checkbox labeled “hide my items”.

  4. Click filter at the top, then ‘Hide my items’ should do the trick.

  5. When your stacker comes up, there’s “Filter” drop-down widget. Click that and select “Hide my items”. You’re done.

  7. How about I write this without a typo:

“When your stacker comes up, there’s a “Filter” drop-down widget. Click that and select “Hide my items”. You’re done.”

  8. So I take it that you redirect every command to /dev/null?

  9. Coward, depends on whether I want to see the output of the command or not. Not sure why you are asking me though.

Everyone else, thanks for the tips !

  11. What I want is a simple way to message someone… mugshot needs some work…

I find it silly that I can’t find a way to go to someone’s homepage and just send them a message, like “Thanks for joining my group”
