After more than two years, I finally finished reading my second Spanish novel. This one was 'Zorro' by Isabel Allende. I assume it's different from her usual work. I obviously bit off more than I could chew, with a 380 page novel in small letters and very little whitespace. But I will persevere. Next!

While probably not the best way to learn Spanish, I found that it was much easier to read books translated from English to Spanish – especially by authors I normally read in English. The sentences tend to be shorter if nothing else. :)
That said, I enjoyed several books by Eduardo Mendoza and Pablo Neruda.

I’m Spanish, and I bet for Eduardo Mendoza. It’s an author very readable in high school (‘El misterio de la cripta embrujada’, ‘La aventura del tocador de señoras’), mainly because his stories are very funny.
